Age: Sub-junior Team 1 is for children aged 8 to 10 years on 31 December in year of participation.
Description: Sub-junior Gold is a competiition team, with moderate commitment. This class is aimed a student who have previous calisthenics experience or new students who have previous dance/gymnastic experience and show natural ability. Sub-junior Team 1 is for students who will be committed to their team success. In this class students will learn 6 items in line with CASA’s item rotation during Terms 1 to 3 and participate in the calisthenics skills and STAR program in Term 4 during normal class time. This is an invitation only class.
Commitment: High - This is an audition only competitive team. Student will perform in CASA May Demonstration, our Showcase in July, and the CASA State Championships in August. Classes are held weekly during school terms and during April and July school holidays. It is an expectation that students who accept a place in this team do not miss classes unnecessarily and participate in extra classes and stage rehearsals. Students are expected to practise at home from class videos and return each week knowing work learned in previous classes. Students in this class MUST attend a free STAR class each week in addition to Sub-junior Team 1 class.
